Welcome to Cyclops's corner of the new The Heart of a Hero. This section will house all my Cyclops fic's, fan art of Cyclops (mine and other people's), and links to my favorite X-Men sites (most of which are Cyclops centered of course!). Eventually, I'll put up a biography as well.

   Scott Summers is one of the most underated and misunderstood characters in comics. Almost since his introduction in X-Men #1 in 1963, he has been seen as an anal-rentive, goodie-to-shoes, stick in the mud. He's not, not even close.

   I love Summers for many reasons. He's loyal to a fault, brave, compassionate, kind, he's got a wicked sence of humor (even though he does a good job of hiding it most of the time), and intelligent. He's a stickler for the rules, but he knows that sometimes you have to say the hell with the rules and do what's right. He always puts the safety of his team before his own. He's always there to listen to his friends problems and does what he can to help them.

   This is the guy who fights for the underdog, even when the underdog turns around and bites him. A guy who had his family ripped away from him when he was very young, but still knows what it means to be a good friend. He doesn't wear his heart on his sleeve, but those who know him best know that he would do anything to protect his freinds, those he's sees as part of his family, and the innocent.

   One thing that I really like about Scott is that he has flaws! Afterall, no one's perfect. He's man enough to admit when he's wrong. He has a tendency to repress his feelings and emotions to the point were it's unhealthy.

   So, take a look around and there's bound to be something here that will catch your fancy.

   I've finally found the time (and energy) to update this part of the site as I did the Jack section. By that I mean that I have added blanket disclaimer on The War Room page to cover all stories in this section. Removed disclaimers from each story. Also removed pairings, summaries, and such from the actual fics and put them on the page with the link for each fic.
