Welcome to Jack's corner of the new The Heart of a Hero. This section will house all my Jack fic's, fan art of Jack (mine and other people's), and links to my favorite Stargate sites (most of which are Jack centered of course!). Eventually, I'll put up a biography as well.

   I started watching SG-1 sometime in 2004 (I think), right around when the episode 'Inauguration' aired. I watched because I've been a big fan of Richard Dean Anderson since his MacGyver days. Although Jack is definitely my favorite character, I immediately feel in love with the show as a whole and each of the main characters for different reasons.

   I love Jack ONeill for many reasons. He's loyal to a fault, brave, sarcastic as hell, compassionate, kind, he's got a wicked sence of humor, not afraid to tell people what he really thinks of them (even when he knows it'll get him into trouble), and intelligent. Sometimes it annoys me a bit when he over plays being stupid. Jack follows orders like a good Airmen should, but he's not afraid to say the hell with orders when he knows they are unlawful or could, intentionally or not, lead to innocent people getting hurt or killed. He always puts the safety of his team before his own. He took Daniel under his wing when they came back from Abydos and the SGC didn't know what to do with him. Ya gotta love that 'never leave a man behind' attitude of his. One thing's for sure, you always know where you stand with Jack O'Neill.

   The thing that I really like about Jack is that he has flaws! Afterall, no one's perfect. O'Neill is also stubborn as a mule and can seem narrow minded and or uncaring in his pursuit of alien technology at times, but he listens to what his teammates have to say and does his best to make the best decision. He's also man enough to admit when he's wrong. Sometimes he represses his feelings and emotions to the point were it's unhealthy.

    So, take a look around and there's bound to be something here that will catch your fancy.
